Square Enix has released a “new” trailer for Final Fantasy XV, which is mainly made up of recycled cutscenes from previous trailers.
The actual new footage starts at around the 2.55 mark, and even then that’s still split up by some scenes taken from the previously released battle trailer, so don’t go to the video below expecting too much. Still it’s Final Fantasy XV, and any any sign of this game is a good thing–the last thing we want is for it to go dark again.
The game, previously known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII, centers around Noctis Lucis Caelum, the prince of a royal family charged with protecting the last crystal in the world. The combat is faster-paced then previous entries in the series and has some third-person shooter elements thrown in.
There’s no release date, or window, for Final Fantasy XV, but we do know that it is in development for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
