Namco Bandai has released a new trailer for Digital Extreme’s video game adaptation of Star Trek which focuses on the game’s co-op mode.

“We knew that we wanted to play the characters that we loved: Kirk and Spock,” said Brian Miller, senior vice president at Paramount Pictures. “Kirk is this brash, cowboy character, where Spock is the exact opposite. When you break down Star Trek into those elements, you had to make a co-op game.”

Star Trek is scheduled to release April 23 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
