During an event last night, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima showed off 17 minutes worth of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain gameplay.

Sadly, this new footage covers the same mission that was shown off in a demonstration at E3. However, this time the demo shows Big Boss taking a different route to complete the mission, to show off the game’s wide variety of choice available to players.

Also, this time round things are a little different compared to E3, because this time the player is actually replaying the the mission. So instead of being blissfully unaware of your presence, in this playthrough the enemies are ready for you. The guards wear helmets to protest themselves from tranquilizer darts, the amount of patrolling guards has been increased, and there’s even a helicopter surveying the area.

Hideo Kojima announced yesterday that both The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes will be coming to PC via Steam.

The Phantom Pain is in development for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC, but is still without a release date.
