We’ve got codes to Destiny’s beta test to give away

Posted on July 16, 2014 AT 11:41am

Update: Okay folks, all of our codes have been given out! Remember to check your “Other” mailbox on Facebook to see if you received a code. If you didn’t, we’ll keep track of your entries, and put you in the running should we get more codes!

Want to be a part of the Destiny beta test that’s about to kick off? Thanks to the fine folks at Activision and Bungie, we’ve got a handful of codes that we’ll be giving out later tonight.

To be in the running to get a code, all you have to do is head down to the comments below and tell us why you want to be in the Destiny beta test. Did you miss out on your chance to try out the alpha? Did you play the alpha and now need more of your Destiny fix? Or are you still totally unsure of what all of this fuss over Destiny is about, and want to finally get an answer?

Whatever it is, let us know below. We’ll be keeping an eye on the answers we get that properly give an answer—no “because I want to win” or anything like that—and we’ll pick at random from the pool of posters that we though had quality responses. The cut-off for getting your name into the running is 11:59PM Pacific tonight (July 16th).

Each code is good for three actual beta codes for the game, so that you can get two of your friends into the game as well. Platform choices are PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 for either North America or Europe (starting July 17th), and Xbox 360 or Xbox One for any region (starting July 22nd).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Codes will be sent via Facebook message, which will probably go to your “Other” mailbox on the site. Messages that appear in the Other mailbox aren’t shown as part of the counter for new messages in your Inbox, so they can be easy to miss. Thus, if you don’t want to miss out on using the code in case we pick you, be sure to check your Other mailbox at some point after 12:30AM Pacific (July 17th).

So, if you’re still in need of a Destiny alpha code, get to posting below, and good luck!

Please note that Xbox Live or PS+ may be required for the full online multiplayer experience.
