Wargaming.net has released a new video for World of Tanks that shows off the improvements that are being made to its physics engine.
The engine is being upgraded to allow for dynamic movement of tank parts, the loss of these parts during combat, and wheels that move naturally over terrain. Building destruction is also getting an overhaul. No longer will destroyed buildings simply be replaced by a new model, destruction will now happen in real time. Players will be able to destroy parts of buildings, blow them up completely, or simply drive into them to make them collapse.
Server-side destruction is currently in testing and the developer will provide more information on when this engine upgrade will be implemented at a later date.
