Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition announced

Update: EA and DICE have officially announced that Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition will be released digitally for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on December 5th. The Celebration Edition is priced at $39.99 and includes the following:

  • Base Game
    • Including all past and upcoming free game updates as they release
  • More than 25 Hero Appearances
    • Including six Legendary Appearances, plus one Appearance each for Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren inspired by Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, coming December 17
  • More than 125 Trooper and Reinforcement Appearances
  • More than 100 Hero and Trooper Emotes and Voice Lines
  • More than 70 Hero and Trooper Victory Poses.

Original Story: It looks as if DICE is planning to release a new special edition of Star Wars Battlefront II this week, according to a new listing on TrueAchievements.

The listing claims that the Celebration Edition will arrive tomorrow, December 5th, and include all customization options added since the game released, including upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker content.

In total, the collection includes more than 25 hero appearances, more than 125 Trooper and Reinforcement appearances, more than 100 emotes and voice lines, and more than 70 victory poses.

The reported release date of December 5th coincides with a new update for the game. The upcoming update will introduce 10 new Reinforcement appearances and a number of quality of life changes. A second update is due to follow in mid-December that will include new content inspired by Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars Battlefront II is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
