Madden NFL 13 Brought to Life with Mind-Blowing Infinity Engine (Interview) – E3 2012
Posted on June 11, 2012 AT 03:44pm

The Madden NFL franchise if often viewed down upon because of Electronic Arts’ desire to publish a new release each year. Often integrating just minor fixes with a roster update, many gamers have a hard time justifying a $60 investment within the Madden franchise each and every year. With Madden NFL 13, EA is pushing the envelope with their new Infinity Engine that redefines simulation in the Madden series.
For the first time in the Madden franchise, players on the field will fully recognize the presence of the ball on the field. No longer will you see a cornerback swat at a ball without making some form of eye contact with the ball’s presence. While Electronic Arts always defines the latest Madden release as “the most realistic” filled with “major improvements” I must say, Madden NFL 13 blew me away.
As with every E3, Electronic Arts’ Sports division was in attendance showing off the upcoming Madden NFL 13 and as one who loves the sport, I met with Larry Richart, one of the designers on the gameplay team for Madden NFL 13, to speak on what EA Sports is doing this year to progress the Madden franchise.
