Dark Horse Comics have announced four new “Star Wars” comics that will be out next year, including two with video game ties.
Two current series will continue next year, starting with “Star Wars: Blood Ties.” Subtitled “Boba Fett Is Dead,” the first issue will be out in April 2012.
Also continuing is the “Star Wars: Knight Errant” line, which will begin a new five issue arc called “Escape” in June 2012. It is being written by frequent “Star Wars” comic book guy John Jackson Miller, who is also the author of “Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic: War.” Connected to the “K.O.T.O.R.” games and comics, it will be out on January 11, 2012.
Going even further back in time, “Star Wars: Dawn Of The Jedi” is a new series that will be, “…your first look at the ‘Star Wars’ of 25,000 years ago, before there were lightsabers, when ties to The Force were new, and before the Jedi spreads out into the galaxy.” The series will launch with issue #0 on February 1, 2012, with issue #1 hitting newsstands two weeks later.
Last, but certainly not least, “Star Wars: Darth Vader And The Ghost Prison” is a five issue series being done by Haden Blackman, a frequent “Star Wars” comic guy who also served as the Executive Producer of the game “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.” The “Prison” series is set after the events of “Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith,” and will launch in May 2012.
