Far Cry 5‘s Eden’s Gate cult is cruel and oppressive, but the people of Hope County are building a Resistance to fight back, with the player at the center of it.
The game’s new The Resistance trailer is all about pushing back against Eden’s Gate, and the consequences of this opposition. Loosening the cult’s grip on the region through murder and explosions will fill Resistance meters, increasing the ferocity with which Eden’s Gate fights back. It’s not all bad news, however, as building up a Resistance meter will bring new freedom fighters to your side, complete with unique weapons and abilities that can aid you in the fights ahead.
EGMNOW recently got to fill its own Resistance meter by a small margin while trying out the game at a December preview event. Check out our exclusive gameplay of Far Cry 5, in which we explore Hope County ourselves and knock Eden’s Gate down a peg.
Far Cry 5 is slated to launch on a new release date of March 27th, 2018, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
