343 Industries has some “exciting” news to share with fans about Halo: The Master Chief Collection during SXSW (South by Southwest) later this year.
In a recent Halo Waypoint post, the developer revealed that it will be bringing the Halo Championship Series to the event with more than $100,000 in prize money on the line. A line in this announcement is what has got the Halo community excited.
“Not only will you be treated to amazing matches and gameplay, but we’ve also got some exciting MCC news to reveal during the show,” the developer teased.
What could this exciting news be? A few options include a PC release for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the addition of Halo: Reach to the collection, or a major update. We’ll find out the answer during the Halo Championship Series invitational, which takes place between March 15th-17th.
In other news, 343 Industries released a new update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection last week that introduced the “modern aiming” feature, eight new skulls, the new “Super Duper Fiesta!” playlist, big fixes, and more.
