Square Enix has announced that owners of the Final Fantasy XIV base game are now able to add the game’s first expansion, Heavensward, to their account for free.
From now until June 27th, players can add the expansion to their account and keep it forever, granting access to three new jobs, a new race, new areas, and all of the content introduced during the Heavensward patch series.
Heavensward was originally released in 2015 and sees the Warrior of Light journeying to Ishgard, a city-state involved in a thousand-year conflict with the dragons of the Dravanian Horde.
Final Fantasy XIV’s next expansion, Shadowbringers, is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4 and PC on July 2nd, 2019. The expansion will introduce two new jobs, two new races, new areas, new dungeons, a new raid series, and much more.
In other news, a Free Login Campaign is running for Final Fantasy XIV until June 17th that allows lapsed subscribers to return to the game for up to seven days for free.
