Epic Games has revealed that it will be addressing an issue that has been around since Fortnite Battle Royale first launched in the game’s next update.

In a Reddit post, it was confirmed that a new feature will be implemented in update 7.20 to fix the issue of walls being built partially below, or obstructed by uneven ground.

Following the update, a new system will kick in when the wall “requires a connection to a building piece” and “the connecting piece is at least 70% underground.” In this situation, “the required connecting piece will now build automatically and for free.” Basically, a second wall piece will be built below or above the placed wall at no material cost.

The developer added that this new feature will only affect walls at launch, but didn’t rule out expanding it to other building pieces.

Fortnite is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
