Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have announced that Kombat League, a seasonal ranked mode for Mortal Kombat 11, will be going live tomorrow, June 18th.
The Kombat league sees players competing in ranked matches during a four-week season. A total of nine ranked tiers will be available for players to progress through from Apprentice to Elder God, with exclusive in-game rewards on offer for reaching each rank. Rewards are cumulative and are based on the highest tier reached during the season. There are also various daily and seasonal quests to complete during each season that will reward in-game items.
“The optimized matchmaking system in Kombat League will ensure players are matched with opponents at or near their same skill level,” the publisher explains. “As part of the Kombat League update, a new meter has been added giving players a quick look at their odds of winning against an opponent at the beginning of each ranked match.”
In addition to the Kombat League, tomorrow will signal the start of early access to Shang Tsung, the first character included in the Kombat Pack.
Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
